Unlike the ‘entry-level’ microphones of other brands, even prestigious ones,
which use 16mm capsules, resulting in a less faithful sound, particularly in the bass and low midrange, the ST-1 MK2 is fitted with a truly large 34mm capsule, with a simple one-inch gold-plated diaphragm, just like the AKG 214 or the NEUMANN TLM 103.
